Recommendations for things to do in Sedona? |
Travel Info A few friends and I are going to Sedona (AZ) for a couple days next week. Can anyone recommend thing's to do that don't involve hiking, as it's way too hot to hike right now? Travel Tips Tons of things. The funnest thing there, though, are the Pink Jeep or Hummer tours. What they are are pink Jeeps or H1's go into the pure desert parts of Sedona, drive through them at like 60 mph and you see all the beautifle mountains, landscape, some animals, and it literally feels like a rollercoaster. There is also tons of areas where you can hike at through creeks, hills, trees, rocks, ect. Reminds me a lot of Colorado or Utah hiking. Then there is fishing in some of the lakes there or in the creeks. They also have a few trout farms, which if you're not that good at fishing then that's where you will want to go. Then if you're more of a laid-back person, there is kind of like a small queit dowtown area that has lots of shops ranging from clothing, jewelry, food, ice cream, ect. Sedona has to be the perfect place if you want a peacful vacation away from your daily life and not getting disturbed all the time. Others You can enjoy the art galleries and might pick one or two to add to your collection. Hiking is the best to enjoy the place but as you said, it's way too hot. Enjoy the restaurants around the area but i truly recommend the art galleries if you're into these kind of things. Take a jeep tour out into the surrounding area. Go see all the cool rock formations, but you might need to hike a little to get out to some of them. You could also go golfing or try fishing in some of the rivers. Also, head up to the airport. It is on a plateau overlooking the whole area. Ive been Sedona has beautiful weather right now. The pink jeep tour and the Hummer tour are both great. You can take the trolley and go shopping in downtown. You will have a great time. It's amazing Jeep tours into the ruins GO 2 SLIDE ROCK!!!!!!!! |
