warm,snakes,scorpions,stores,a... most like Australia.
it stays warm pretty much year round. The desert is beautiful
The very best thing about Arizona is that it 2600 miles from where I live
In no particular order...

The Grand Canyon - crowded, but you have to see it
Major League Spring Training - baseball fan's heaven
Lake Powell - Ok, we have to share it with Utah, but it's big enough to go around
Macayo's Restaurant - several locations in the state
Gold - as in mining and nuggets. If you dont mind getting out in the dirt, you might get lucky.
No Snow! - well, at least not in Pheonix. While it has snowed here in the past, it's nothing compared to most of the rest of the country.
Jobs - if you're in a technical field, you can make good money and there are plenty of openings.

Of course, there are a few not-so-great things too:
Housing is way expensive
People are moving in like crazy, making things crowded
The heat - I heard someone call Phoenix "Satan's Hair-dryer", and on this July afternoon, there's no question about it....
The wide variety of beautiful girls that live in the greater metro Phoenix area
Yes, the heat is god-awful, but we have awesome autumns and winters. You can drive from no snow in Phx to snowy Flagstaff, ski and come home all in the same day. Mild winters, enough for a light jacket- you don't have to invest in heavy winter clothes. And best of all, you don't have to dig out your car every morning.
We have major sports teams- Cardinals football, Diamondbacks baseball, Suns basketball, Coyote Hockey, so there's always a sporting event going on. Most major concert tours stop here as well. An abundance of culture- museums, nightlife, great restaurants.
Interesting places to travel to- Flagstaff, Jerome, Prescott, Sedona, Tucson, Bisbee. Vegas, Mexico and San Diego are really close by. There's the Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest and tons of lakes for water sports.
