Is Scottsdale a nice safe area? |
Travel Info I keep hearing about horrible things that happen in Phoenix practically every other day. I'm guessing theres a bad gang problem there? Anyways would Scottsdale be a better choice for vacation when it comes to staying safe? Travel Tips North Scottsdale is a great place to live, it's very nice but more expensive. Paradise valley is another great place to live but it is also expensive. Chandler, Awatukee and parts of Mesa are very nice also but Scottsdale and Paradise Valley are the safest more upscale communities. Everything is pretty close together though. I wouldn't live in most parts of Phoenix but you can find some nice places there. I really like the Chandler and Awatukee areas myself. I just saw that you are asking for a vacation spot. Yes, Scottsdale would be the right choice to chose for vacation. There are very nice upscale resorts in Scottsdale. Others sorry..never been there Yes I used to live in Scottsdale it's very nice... we used to call it Snobsdale because it was the nicer area of town..... steer clear of south Phoenix though... Yes!! As long as u don't walk alone in the city midnight!!!!!!!!!!!! i lived in Phoenix and its not bad at all! every city has their problem spots right? (plus, phoenix has a really nice big mall) Scottsdale is a really pretty area also, more expensive, but i dont know if its safer than phoenix. where ever you choose i hope you have a good vacation! =] If you are just thinking about a vacation, and not a move, Phoenix is fine. Yes, it has high crime, but so does Denver, Atlanta, NYC, LA and all your other big cities. Crime isn't likely to knock on your hotel room door and you can tell which areas to stay out of. If you are going to do tourist things, the possibility of being caught between gun fire is slim and none. But Scottsdale is VERY pretty. I just wouldn't want to live there because people there are very upity. Phoenix, Glendale, Gilbert, Chandler, and Scottsdale and Tempe all run into each other. Unless you live there, most people can't tell which town they are in because, for the most part, it all looks the same. |
