Question on Schools in South Phoenix -Laveen area? |
Travel Info Does anyone know atleast a decent Junior Highs and middle skools in and around south phoenix and Laveen? I have went to the ones in Laveen and they are really so called "Ghetto" and i dont like them. does anyone know any decent ones there? [Baseline RD] or [Dobbins] Travel Tips Unfortunately, Arizona schools are some of the worst in the US in general, and the area you're looking has been one of the worst for many years so not a lot of funding for the schools. I don't know of any good public schools in the area but you could check: http://www.greatschools.net You can search all schools in the area and compare board ratings, test scores, and violent incident records. You could also look at charter schools, which this website can also tell you about and help you find in the area. All the parents I know in the Laveen area drive up to 20-miles a day so their kids can attend charter schools in good areas. Others Haha, I live on Dobbins so I should know. They have St. Brenard black or some thing school which looks more like a prison than a school. They have one called Desert Marigold School. Don't go. They're all mean, and supposedly treehuggers. That was my old school. Um...That's all I know of...Good luck!! |
