What's a good middle priced, middle sized , clean place to stay in playa del carmen that on the beach? |
Travel Info or for sure at least very very close to the beach Travel Tips The Riu hotel chain has a variety of hotels all either on or close to the beach. If you stay at any one of these (except for the palaces) you can visit and eat at the other hotels, so you can do all kinds of stuff. Go to Riu.com for prices and availibilty. Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Most expensive of the hotels. Newest too and I have not yet visited this hotel. Beachfront. http://www.riu.com/en/hotel-riu-palace-r... Riu Palace Mexico: Elegant, but relaxing. beachfront http://www.riu.com/en/hotel-riu-palace-m... Riu Tequila: Our favorite. A 5 minute walk or 2 min complementary shuttle from the beach. Less crowded and more family oriented. Disco and 5 bars in the hotel. HUGE pool with swim-up bar. http://www.riu.com/en/clubhotel-riu-tequ... Riu Yucatan: Gets crowded in pool area, because it is the middle hotel and beachfront. You can sit in the pool with a margarita and look out onto the ocean...... http://www.riu.com/en/hotel-riu-yucatan-... Riu Playacar: Beachfront, but not as crowded as Yucatan. The food at all the resorts in pretty much the same, and of good quality The best part of the Riu hotels is the staff. You can play organized volleyball, tennis, ping-pong, soccer, water polo, water aerobics, yoga, merengue/salsa dance classes, kids club. The staff come and sit to have lunch with you on their break, and all speak english, though we ound it more fun to learn spanish. I hope you have an awesome vacation and choose a Riu hotel. |
