Travel Info Has anyone been to Meilec Poland?What is it like? Travel Tips I have distant relatives there and I did go there as a kid, but don't remember much... Seemed nice enough. Here are some pics http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=... Others Yes, it is a pretty nice city. It's sort of like the old cities, and it has places you can visit. Also, the cities around it are nice too. No, I would not agree that the town is very old; although its history dates back to about five centuries ago, in 1900 a great fire devastated three quarters of the town, and the new development was heavily affected by the location of an aircraft factory in Mielec, which made the town an industrial center, and it has remained one until now. In short, it is a relatively new industrial town. |
