Modern poland how has it change?

Travel Tips
I'm from Rhode Island, in the US, and I met my husband in Gorlice, Poland in 1980. Since then (we return to see family every year), McDonald's, KFC, and Dunkin' Donuts have come to Poland. Is this progress? Perhaps. But, not just that, there are also plenty of other signs of forward movement. There are huge shopping malls in the major cities, and plenty of Home Depot-like stores. There has been a major housing boom, and a great increase in privately owned restaurants and gas stations. What is on the decline, however, is jobs elsewhere. If you don't have the money or the wherewithal to start your own business, forget it; there is nothing for you in Poland.

It has change in coins. The usual way.
There are now malls and fastfood places, and more and more people are using cars instead of walking and taxis!!!! I try and go everyother year but its hard with how much the plane tickets cost :(
Looks like Poland has an ultra-conservative and reactionary government in place now. So I guess it's moved closer to the US, eh?
From the previous socialist regime modern Poland has developed into a thriving capitalistic country, closely allied with the rest of the EU. There are still problems, but the country is enjoying a revitalization and the society is very vibrant and still proud of it's heritage, art and culture and looking to further future development.
THEY CHANGED IN COINS TO ZLOTY, many churches, black modonna, malls, markets outdoors, parks, cities, mcdonalds, restaraunts, ect
You can see the change in town and cities. There are many street-cars, traffic, new cars, advertisments and tired people.. Time flies by. In Polish country there are still people who have horses and small farms. I am really happy that Poland is growing up faster.. Then, its possible to build some new factories or companies. Perhaps, our unemployment will be lower.....
