How long does it take to get from Auschwitz (Oswiecim) to Zakopane in Poland? |
Travel Info hey everyone, i dont think many of you will know this but how long will it take by car to get from Auschwitz (Oswiecim) to Zakopane in Poland, and if there is a train that goes that way? im planning a holiday with my family, we are staying in Zakopane and im trying to convince my parents that it wont take that long to get to Auschwitz because i really want to go there. Any help is appreciated!!!! Travel Tips Hi!! The distance between Oswiecim and Zakopane is about 80 miles. It will take u probably around: - 2 hours by car - 3 hours by train, but u have to take a train from Cracow ( which is only about 10 miles away from Oswiecim) to Zakopane - 2,5 hours by bus which u have to take also from Cracow and there are many buses from Cracow to Zakopane...there are buses leave every half an hour... Hope it helps :-) Others If you drive it will take a little less than two-and-a-half hours. The distance is 165 km and most of the route is along the E40 and E77 motorways. There is a train from Krakow that goes down that way too, but I haven't taken it at all. By no means travel by train! There are no direct trains between both points, and the whole trip takes 5 to 11 hours, depending on connections availability at different hours. Travel by car.
