What are two traditional Polish foods, from like a while back and 2 that are justtraditional...? |
Travel Info Also, 2 traditional Polish instruments, what theyre made of, and when they were/are played! I NEED THIS BY THE END OF 2NITE! Travel Tips I would say that two traditional polish dishes are: 1) Pierogi: small white dumplings filled with sauerkraut with mushrooms, cheese and potatoes or with fruit. They can be also with meat. 2) Bigos: seasoned "hunter" stew made from sauerkraut with chunks of various meats and sausages. You can also add some mushrooms. About the instruments I would say that one of the most used instruments is The Button Accordion - is often played in traditional music and dances like "Polka" and the another hmmm maybe trumpet which is also played in traditional polish music. Hope it helps a little bit :-) Have a great day!!! Others perogi's (unsure of spelling) check foodtv.com and sausages The button accordion is characteristic for Russia; Polish folk bands use the keyboard ones. The most frequent instrument is the violin, but it is hardly typical for Poland. The same goes for trumpet or double bass. There is a Polish version of the bagpipe but again, it is hardly unique. Traditional dishes: * Bigos (the most typical Polish dish) * Barszcz (it's a soup, I think it's called Borscht among English-speaking people) Traditional instruments: * Ligawka - it's like a big horn/pipe, which is blown. It has a deep sound. I am from Poland ;p |
