What to see in Krakow, in two days.? |
Travel Info Going to Krakow, Poland for two days this weekend for an environmental conference, wondering what there is to see in only a few spare hours of time. What should i do. Also what is it like, the town, the people , the food etc Any help is greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Travel Tips 1st wish u a great nice trip. really u sound like me when i was in poland and i pet with all my friends that i saw all Krakowin 2 days .and i did it imean i saw what i wanted to see.my recomandation:, buy or take one of the city maps from the IT( inf tourist) its in the train, bus station. in th 1st day you will be tired and have not time .you can go and see the old town. best way to start the walk. give your back to the bus station or the train (they are the same place.while you walk you will see alot of things, its like 1.5 km a 1:30 hour to walk it.ther is alot of things to see and i can say it all .but in the end of the street great Wawel castle.its amazing, and the market sq. and you will see alot of strange people doing fuuny things in that sq.also u can buy a toy of a dragon.the best memo of Krakow u can buy. night : hit the streets be aware the city is dead by 7pm and if u ganna stay out late you better be in company. 2nd day: early morring next day i mean real early like 6 am.you may first go visit the salt mine called in polish (Wieliczka or said as Wielshika)it will be good if you be there by 7am it takes like 4-5hours to see it.and if you gone there late y will grow old in the waiting row i still cant forget how long it was when i came up from th mine it was like 200 people want to go into that hole. and i give it 3 of 5.so if you dont have enough time . so its better to g osee the nazi camp(Auschwitz).its like one hour by the bus from krakow main bus station.its open from 8am and close not before 4pm it depend on the month. and there is documentary movie for free in many languages every 30 min. if u have a weak heart dont see it its so crepy show what was going on the camp. monday is free u dont havt to pay for the tickets and only u pay if u wann a guide.or just buy the camp map from the camp it self and walk with yourself. over all krakow is so wonderful city .trust me you will enjoy its not like any other city in poland. have a good save trip. with luv Others salt mines are ace, auschwitz & birkenau very interesting- i thought worth seeing but its up to you. is a lovely town, polish people are really friendly and know how to have a good time, have a great weekend Modified 11 months ago www.virtualtourist.com in Cracow are a few palces which must be seen, like a Main Market Square or Wawel Castle, but in the centre there is a many lovely streets with a beautifull architecture. but in my opinion U should go in the evening to the Main Square where is a lot of pubs and restaurants, this palce is all the time alive - U can feel there a exceptional climat I live there wawel(palace of kings), sukiennice(square), kosci贸艂 mariacki ( church- which is beautiful ) and...of course shops ;) nice time in poland:) |
