Warsaw in October?

i'm off to warsaw for five days in late october...
any suggestions for places to go or things to see?

Warsaw is a lovely city, quite interesting to see how old European Prussian architecture has been integrated with Communist totalitarism. The city has loads of history to show for it, and for a few days might even keep you interested.

What I remember most from my few days there were roaming the streets of the old quarters, the city鈥檚 marketplace and the magnificent 艁azienki Park (pronounced Wajenski). The park has a many historical buildings which are usually open to the public (best check exactly what, where and when), and if you like nature, it is a nice few hour stroll.

The old parts of town are very common East-European, cobbled streets dotted with little bakeries and caf茅鈥檚.

There are also the town hall square and the Jewish quarter (and if I recall correctly, there is a recommended path between the two) if you are into historical walks that are on the educational side.

Not being morbidly funny 鈥?Warsaw has one of the most magnificent cemeteries in the world. I鈥檓 not sure they have guided tours through it anymore, but that is definitely worth a shot. Amazing marble and granite crypts, headstones and gravesides. Quite an interesting thing to do for a morning.

No advice, I've never been. But I've always wanted to, and October would be the perfect time! Hope you have a great trip!
warsaw there will be no polish there as they are all over here
If you haven't been there before, have look at the link, this will give you basics. Apart from that, great clubs and shops.

It's a great city, enjoy your stay. There are plenty of things you can do in Warsaw, five day may not be enough! :)
