It's about 180 km, so it might take 2h30min - 3h. There is a toll charge between Krakow and Katowice, which 12 months ago was abot 10zl (keep 20 to be sure) If you need directions from/to a specific street try rac.co.uk routeplanner which works for the whole of europe (link is given below) The planner says about 2.5 hours, but this can be longer depedning on rush hour.
