Has anyone been to Poland before? |
Travel Info We are looking to visit Auschwitz during March, just for a weekend. If anyone has been was it a good trip? Travel Tips Superb place to visit, very different so not really a holiday type of place. Very historical and interesting though and yes VERY cold so wrap up warm. As many have said, Auschwitz is very interesting to visit but it is also a very haunting experience. It is almost like you can sense the death that once was there, strange. Elsewhere however, Polish people are very friendly and warm to the British. It is also very cheap to do most anything there. We went to a top class restaurant, 6 of us had a 3 course meal with wine and beer for around 拢60???? So you wont break the bank and will have an excellent time, just look out on the roads if hiring a car, they drive as bad as the Italians. I think people actually live there, so they must have. Poland is a great place, Auschwitz will be a sad experience though, just to let you know.. sorry. Never been Yes, I have. I used to live in Berlin and I think Polands only about 20 mins away. My parents and I went there when I was a teenager. Thoroughly recommend it to anybody. Very interesting.
