I'm going to move to poland. What shops are there that are also in the states.?

Travel Info
I want to be able to shop and feel at home. Shopping is my favorite thing to do.

Travel Tips
Why would you move to another country and try to pretend (feel) like you are back in the states?!?!?!

Go with an open mind, a good phrase translation book, and embrace the variety of new experiences available to you!

For those items that you 'need' to have to make life seem 'normal', there is always on-line shopping.

Enjoy and increase your world-view

Better come to India/ u hve everything besides what u need/ You hve good weather/good people / good culture/ only if u are not an indian.

You can get almost anything you like in Poland today to a reasonable price.

If it is something very special you woluld like to have, you could order it from any EU country or go to Germany, or to Sweden or Denmark by boat or car or train if you like to.
First, it depends on where you're moving to in Poland. Warsaw is very different than many other cities.

Second, if you're talking about regular stores, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. Poland is a very different world compared to the US. Have you visited there before? If not, I would suggest it before moving there. Not trying to be negative, but if you're hoping to move to any foreign country and feel at home right away, well, it's not going to happen. Forget that idea and go to Poland with an open mind and find some new things. Get to know Poland as Poland, not as "it's like America in THIS way but not THIS way." You'll be much happier.
I have to agree that you really should come with an open mind and not compare it to the states. It is different in many ways.
That being said, if you like to shop there are a lot of shops to choose from in large cities. If you care planning on moving to Warsaw, the city has a lot of shops and large shopping centres, possibly more than it should.
As to shops that are in the states, I haven't seen any of the same shops, but there are plenty to choose from. The only similarity may be in the fast food names, but that is worldwide and not exactly the food I'd suggest eating.
Almost all the fast food shops are the same- McD, KFC, etc.
The "soap, bread and shoes" type of supermarkets are different- there is no K-mart for example- but we have the UK, french and German chains- Tesco, Auchan, Geant, Aldi, etc.
A lot depends on where you are moving to- if it is a big city, then you will have more shops than you can visit- ranging from small shops along a street to huge multi storey contraptions where you can shop, eat, see a movie or have a bowling game. I think the only thing you can't do there is sleep- but then, some of these shops stay open 24 hours...
If you are moving into the country... well, let's say it would be a novel experience... ;-)))
