Need information on Wroclaw Poland? |
Travel Info Please tell me some of the sights that I shouldn't miss while visiting Wroclaw. Also other things to do in surrounding towns and cities. I have been to Krakow, Warsaw, Opole, Chestahova, and visited many castles as well as a few other places. Thanks! Travel Tips You'll find lots of info here: http://www.google.com/search?q=wroclaw+g... The places you should definitely see are: the market square (and its pubs :) ), the cathedral (at Ostrow Tumski) and Panorama Raclawicka. I also recommend a trip to Sobotka and the Sleza mountain. If you have any particular questions, you can email me :) Source(s): I come from Wroclaw Other Travel Tips In Wroclaw visit the Rynek. Rynek means market square. The Rynek at Krakow is the largest in Europe but the one in Wroclaw is also very beautiful to explore with beautiful buildings on all four sides. You should go into some of the little cobbled side streets and explorer cellar bars and cafes. Close to the Rynek in Wroclaw there is a newly built fountain. From the main square you need to cross the bridge over the river Odra to a small island called Ostro Tumski. There you find the city's gothic cathedral of St. John the Baptist. You can explorer more of the buildings on Ostrow Tumski. It is the oldest part of Wroclaw. I've spent one day in Wroclaw and my advice to you is to get a guide book or map from the local tourist office and explore. The city is very easy to walk around.
