'Polaco' is Spanish for Polish or a Polish person.


It is also used by some Spaniards as a word / slang for a Catalonian / Catalan. The origin of this is that the Catalan language could be Polish as far as they can understand it!

It is what Spanish and Portuguese people call a person from Poland.
I believe this is also the word in Italian for someone from Polonia...
