well, it depends on your socio-economic level and your ethnic group. I was lucky to be born into groups that aren't discriminated against. I have learned now, after living in 4 other countries, how lucky I was to be born into relative privilege. Americans, in general, have a pretty good life, but if you are an immigrant or poor, you don't have a great life in the states.
I am proud of the U.S. in many ways, but not proud of the war-monger President. I think we Americans are a very generous group and very optimistic compared to many other nations, so I am proud of that, too. Now, if we could just take care of our own and stay out of other countries' problems, we would be doing much better. Thanks for asking....

not having to be anything else.. being an American is pretty normal i guess... basically i have nothing to compare it to...

best thing ever!! you can visit all 50 states and every states is unique in its own way..
