I am looking for public transport from portland downtown to mt hood or columbia gorge at the end of October. Otherwise, if driving safe during the season? Thanks.

I don't think that the buses go out quite that far. Driving out there in October shouldn't be a problem, though. It usually stays warm until about halfway through October, then it starts to cool, but there won't be any snow on the roads until probably December. The Columbia Gorge is beautiful, and you shouldn't have any trouble driving out there in October either. I wouldn't start worrying until after Thanksgiving. |
