Where can you Drive on the beach in Oregon.? |
Travel Info Where can you Drive on the beach in Oregon.? Travel Tips Just drive straight West and dont stop. Make sure you accelerate to at least 75 miles to break over the waves. You might try walking, It is the best way to enjoy the beach . Others near the water Oregon Just North of Seaside, Oregon you can access the beach via few different access points. The easiest to find is the Delray Beach Access. It is about 2 - 3 miles North of Seaside off Highway 101. Look for the sign. It is also near the Highlands Golf Course. Once you get on the beach you'll have to obey Oregon driving laws. You can still get tickets for speeding, reckless driving, etc. You'll have several miles of driving available to you. You can only drive about 1 miles South from this particular access point. You can drive several miles North, however. Be careful when entering/exiting these access points. At times the sand is soft/dry at these access points. Don't worry, it's only about 50 - 100 feet of dry/soft sand. If you accelerate BEFORE going through the soft sand you'll make it through fine. I've never had a problem and I've never seen anyone stuck. At times the sand is very hard and you don't have to worry at all. Long Beach is just on the Washington side if the Oregon/Washington border. It is a great little town and you can drive on the beach for miles. I would recommend a 4-wheel drive, it is easy to get stuck in the sand. |
