Is the nickname for Portland, OR, "porkland", considered offensive?

Travel Tips
I don't know if it's offensive, but it certainly is stupid.

Others
If it is used as a derogatory term toward's people who might have a weight problem, then yes it could be considered offensive.
It's sacrilegious.
I've heard Stumptown, P-town, PDX, Sportland, and a few others. I've never heard "porkland". What's it supposed to mean? Comparatively speaking, most people who live here are pretty fit. Politically we don't get much pork, either.
Never heard of that nickname for Portland. I lived there for 3 - 4 years.
i've lived in oregon all my life and i've never heard that nickname.
To, answer your question, Yes it is. How would you like it if your city was started with the first four letter's of pork. Of course it is offensive.
