Can anyone tell me about Oregon? |
Travel Info I really want to know what are the best cities to live in where it's diverse, calm, and is close to or has a lot of trees around it. I would also like to know how the weather is usually there.Thank you. Travel Tips Okay, I lived in Oregon 46 years, and my parents, kids, and grandkids all still live there. My first recommendation would be Eugene. It's a great area to live, and there are a number of small towns near it so you can choose living in the city (it's a mid-size city with a small town feel), or in a small town where you can get to eugene in 10-15 minutes. http://www.eugene-or.gov/portal/server.p... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/eugene,_ore... http://www.planeteugene.com/ http://www.wunderground.com/us/or/eugene... http://www.registerguard.com/news/2006/0... http://www.eugeneweekly.com/ If you like a real small town experience, there are many small towns along the coast, where the views are spectacular .. but the winter weather is a bit grim. Not sure what else to share.... Oregon is great. Others all i kno iz that its a state its a trail that was used way back when It has a coastline, mountains and volcanic plains. I don't like any of it, but it really depends on if you like being in 'the big city' on the coast, or inland. There are too many people there for my taste. Many escaped California and brought their silly ideas with them. Ruined the whole state. The weather is fairly mild. Beaverton, its a nice place, it rains a lot though, and its close to the Portland area with all the stuff, and theres some cool woods and stuff. and GO DUCKS!! I'd say Lake Oswego or West Linn. Lake Oswego is centered around a lake, and is close to just about everything, and has tons of trees! West Linn is one of the nicest cities in Oregon, and has trees all around. Both are going to cost you a bundle showever... Canby is out rural and you can get a couple acres there for a pretty reasonable price... I really like Wilsonville, has everything there and has lots of parks. The weather here in Oregon is really rainy and stormy! It is really windy too... I really like Oregon because of its wide demographics, mountains, beaches, ocean, plains, forests, deserts all in one State. Pretty cool, huh? Beavers are better then ducks! Lived in Oregon all my life. |
