Travel Tips If you are looking for hippie area's then hawthorne area is probably one of the best area's, other nice area's are NW 23 area and the Pearl area and Sellwood are all nice parts of Portland. But most of Portland is a hippie and goth city, along with Seattle and California area, its just a west coast culture. Others For sure hawthorne in SE portland is a very hippe area. Portland is a great and fun city all around though. You might want to check out the Alberta in NE Portland as well. Welcome!
