Camping in/around Portland (tent)? |
Travel Info My family and I are heading to Oregon and the Oregon coast in May and would like to spend a couple of days in Portland before we head out to the coast. We are camping with a tent. Where is a good camping site, that is easy to get to the Zoo and Japanese gardens, without alot of hassle? Should we go south to Milo McIver State Park or Champoge State Park or a private camp ground? or should we stay in southern Washington? Any help would be appreciated. Also, any suggestions on what to see/do in Portland with a 3 year old? Travel Tips Below is a web site that list tons of camp grounds in oregon state. You might be able to find one that would work for you. http://www.oregon.com/recreation/camping... Source(s): http://www.oregon.com/recreation/camping... Other Travel Tips You are camping out in a tent NOW? Do you realize it is snowing? It is COLD. Portland including the coast has been seeing the worst cold snap they have seen in years. I was shocked to see snow on the beach on TV. Never snowed there when we lived there, ever..... Watch the weather and with a little baby with you think about a hotel. Stay safe! Have fun. |
