What is the weather like in Portland, Oregon around May? |
Travel Info I live in Oklahoma and am going to move to Portland, Oregon in May and I dont want to dress warmly and get to Portland and it be somewhat cold. All answers appreciated! Travel Tips Portland is generally pretty mild in the spring, but can get chilly, especially if it's raining (and it rains a lot in PDX). It also can get humid when it's raining, which can make it feel warmer - or colder - than it really is. This year it's been pretty nice out - it's only Feb. and they've had 50+ degree days. When the sun comes out, it it quite nice. For May, I'd suggest jeans or slacks with a T-shirt and some sort of a pullover that you can take off if you get too warm. Don't forget your umbrella! :) Others Below is a link to a lot of information about Portland. Welcome in advance! One thing they say about Portland (and I'm sure a lot of other places) is that if you don't like the weather, just wait 15 minutes. It's still chilly in May, especially if you're used to the warmer climate of Oklahoma.
