I'm going to be moving to Vancouver, WA. (98662) does anyone know if it's a safe neighborhood? |
Travel Info It is near the shopping mall and I've heard that the crime rate is pretty high? Is this true? And how ethnically diverse is it? Travel Tips If it's on the west side of the mall, then it is a bad neighbourhood (crime). The northeast and east sides are best and fairly safe. Hate to say it because it sounds racist, but the west side is rather diverse, while the rest isn't much. The Cascade Park and Salmon Creek areas of Vancouver WA are safer and cleaner neighbourhoods. Source(s): Have lived in Vancouver WA most of my life, and do so presently. Other Travel Tips I live in bremerton, wa. The western part of this state is a military area. There are two Naval bases, one Air Force base, and one ARMY base. We have all the colors of the rainbow, and even a few nationalities I hadn't heard of before haha! It's not that bad for crime. Although I'll warn you. On Wednesday and Saturday nights, there are illegal street races in the business district, so driving around after 11 in the business district is kindof not smart. It is one of the few places in America where you are within two hours drive either way of mountains and snow, ocean and beaches, and the rainforest. The recreation is great, don't get me wrong. But some people here have turned it into a ghetto because they come from other states/countries and they want to bring thier crap with them. We are Canada's Mexico, just remember that. I agree with the forst poster, Salmon Creek is a nice area...the mall? Well, there are good and bad like many places. Byt if I ha my choice I would consider Salmon Creek. I dont care for Cascade Park. |
