Travel Info Can anyone suggest a great breakfast restaurant near PDX? Something with some good homestyle cooking? Travel Tips Mother's Bistro in downtown is the best place to have breakfast. Make a reservation if you can. Everything from biscuits & gravy to waffles... and the french press coffee. It's just amazing. View their menu http://www.mothersbistro.com Source(s): Lived in downtown Portland from 1998-2006 Other Travel Tips near the airport? not quite sure, but there's the Pancake house(private business) on 116th/Halsey. They have good homestyle, but it's a small place and the service sucks. I love Biscuit's Cafe. They have a few locations and just opened a new location at 92nd and Johnson Creek in SE Portland. Gresham has a German restaurant we go to for breakfast. It's called Heidi's it's right before Burnside and Division cross on the right hand side. It's excellent!!! They have a huge variety of breakfasts that are home cooked and they have amazing pasteries and cinnamon rolls . . . mmmmm I think we'll go tomorrow for breakfast! :) http://www.heidisofgresham.com/... here's a link, the menu listed is just their take out menu, they have A LOT more than this. :) pancake house is really "famous." the dutch babies are good. portland isn't a "homestyle" kind of place.....so pancake house is as good as it gets. |
