Catching Crab in Netarts Oregon in July...? |
Travel Info I was told that the best time to catch Crab in Oregon is during months with an "R". My family and I will be vacationing there in July (about as far from an R month as you can get). Will we still be able to go out and get some or is the crabbing part of the trip doomed?? Travel Tips It's not likely that you'll be able catch any keepers in July. Even if you get lucky, they will be lean and meatless. So unless you have kids that would really enjoy the exercise, it's best to wait til Oct-Nov when you will bag some keepable catch. Others i think the water will be too warm for crabbing in the bay. i never had much luck there in the summer |
