H U G E!!!!! I had a connecting flight in Portland last September with over an hour to get from one plane to the next. Thought I had plenty of time. Wrongo! There are miles of concourses between terminals and an entire network of subway trains to move people around. I only wish I had had more time to spend touring the airport. It was quite impressive. Lots of shops and restaurants.
PDX is not huge, but very comfortable. Easy to get in and out of(user friendly). Parking (normally) is quite good. There are lots of places to eat, fast food and nice meals, that are convenient. The light rail system can put you right there and take you to downtown in a short time.
it's not that big...i would call it "comfortable." you can find anything you would expect at a big airport...but if you were running late you could run the whole airport in ten minutes. it's not a one terminal place...but it's large enough for a big city without being a pain in the butt.
I dont know but I do know it is rated one of the nices airports:o) It's very clean, alot of people willing to help and lots of shops and places to eat.....(although expensive)
