Travel Info How long is the drive from Portland to Ashland (in Oregon)? How many hours would it take and how many miles? Travel Tips Don't attempt to drive from Portland to Ashland in four hours -- 285 miles in four hours means you'd have to average 70 mph. That's insane. You have to clear four mountain passes. They are, from north to south, Canyon Creek Pass, 2,020 feet; Stage Road Pass, 1,830 feet; Smith Hill Summit, 1,727 feet; and Sexton Mountain Pass, 1,956 feet. Drive safely. Give yourself five and a half or six hours and make plans for a gas stop before you head over the mountains. Source(s): http://www.tripcheck.com http://archive.mailtribune.com/archive/9... Oregon Department of Transportation Other Travel Tips I believe its about a 5 hour drive. I know this cuz my mom travels from sacramento to portland every year and that is a 10 hour drive. It would be about 200-300 hundred miles. 285 miles, will take about 4 hours well it's 288 miles between portland and Medford. And it's 4 hours and 41 minutes. It's about a half hour between ashland and medford, so do the math. I'd say around 5 hours and 300 miles. |
