When does the rainy season end in Oregon? |
Travel Info We will be flying into Portland June 18 and staying for 10 days. We where there in November and went to the coast. A major storm came in and it was like a "cold" hurricane. I am a Florida native but here it rains for a few minutes and the rest of the day is nice. Will it still be rainy when we get there next month? I hear it's nice there in the summer months. Travel Tips well, oregon drizzles, it doesn't usualy have down pours, actualy florida ranked higher for rain fall than oregon. oregons 'rainy' season is usualy from nov. through abouts feb. you get lucky every once in a while. This year it's still raining and cold. so it's a hit or miss. but to be honest the reason our state is so beautiful and green and the air is so fresh is because of the rain. Others You should be fine by the end of June. Might get the odd shower here or there, but should be mostly sunny and around 75 degrees. June and September are great months to visit. It is amazing here in the summer months. I spent most of my life in the south(AR TN NC) and it is so nice here compared to there. The rain is almost over for this year, but did you know that it rains here as much as it does in Alabama? And it's actually pretty here in the winter as opposed to being cold drab, wet and brown like it was in the mid-south and midwest...It's also without the humidity. The winters here as opposed to the mid south are so much nicer,too. June will be great, just like every other month in Portland OR is great. Also, when it's 100 in the Willamette Valley, you can go to the coast where it's 20 degrees cooler, or go to Mt. Hood and play in the snow...Have fun, be prepared to not want to go back to where you came from...Peace It has never ended.....thats why it's soooo beautifull here, green as it gets babay! There still might be some rain but on average it rains 9 months a year in Oregon and Washington. The rain normally starts in September and goes through June till Rose Festival is over. Portland is the 46th rainiest city in the country, cross your fingers that it doesn't rain when you get here. It seems to rain when out of towners come and not the week before or after. From years of experience it shouldn't be rainy. I bet you're happy to actually go somewhere that isn't so ugly. We have the beautiful backdrop and well, florida is just gross. experience |
