Travel Info What's the neighborhood like in northeast Portland on 52nd St. between Sandy and Fremont? Travel Tips i love that neihborhood. plus lots of fun places on freemont. there's a great french bakery there and a totaly cute gelato place. There a trader joes on sandy and thier building a new laurelwood pub. gustavs has awesome happy hour and good beer. omg, and everyone who lives there eats at du's, you can't drive by without your mouth watering. hmm what else. your close in to portland. you can take sandy all the way down into portland it'll take about 20 min. hollywood transit is right there you can park and ride into town as well and take the trolly or a bus. super quick. Source(s): lived in hollywood Other Travel Tips That area can be pretty nice and just ok. Some great places from the older era of Portland. As far as travel, good ol' Tri-met bus. They are fairly quick for mas-trans. Could be 20 to 40 mins. From NW, take light rail and then find a connecting bus to the neighborhood. The neighborhood is residential. not quite sure exactly, but it's right next to the Hollywood district, so it may be apart of it and I just don't know it! Jr. Rose Festival Parade will be down in that area on Sandy Blvd. soon!!!!! Just on the sandy bus from downtown. Also try Du's on sandy around 55th, it's the best teriyaki in Portland!!! :) no lie! |
