Hello, how far from lake oswego to downtown portland ? |
Travel Info i will work in down town portland but i will i live in lake oswego and in first 4 months i am going to use train or bus so is there any bus or train from lake to downtow portland everyday Travel Tips It takes about 20 minutes by bus to downtown Portland.....there is no train. There are 4 lines from Lake O - the 35 is the main line from downtown LO into downtown PDX and it will take you about 25 minutes - nice ride. If you live in Lake Grove or around the lake, you'll take the 36 or 37 and tranfer to the 35, add 10 minutes. If you're up in Mt. Park, the 38 runs only during peak times, but it's about 30 minutes and a straight run into downtown. I live there! Yes TriMet Portland's transit system does provide several routes between Lake Oswego and downtown Portland. It will depend upon your exact starting point as to which route is closest to you. What many commuters do from that area however, is drive bike or walk to the Tualatin Park and Ride adjacent to Lake Oswego and use the TriMet express line 96 which is direct via freeway into downtown.
