I really dont know what to chose between portland state university or oklahoma state university in stillwater? |
Travel Info Question Details: . i will do master in mechanical engineering and i got accepted in both of them . first i really care about the place coz am gonna complete my master and stay there so i really dont know what chose ! i heard alot about portland its nice and with low crime also about stillwater its a small town and safe but lil worry about the tornado elly in oklahoma , soi hope any person here can advice me which to chose and hope someone tell me what is the best apartments in portland i will be so thankful Travel Tips PSU has an excellent engineering program. the city is very livable and this is turning into the new mecca for techies. There's plenty of work, and more coming. I have no clue about Oklahoma, only that Portland is gorgeous, it's full of trees and there several beaches to get away to that are close. the mountain is awesome if you ski. if your more of a around the town kind of person Portland is filled with great restaurants and bars. Portland is the main city in Oregon, unlike stillwater. so i think it depends on if you want to live in a city or the country. Others I'm from Portland Oregon, and I can tell you a few things. First, the people are extremly friendly and very helpful. There's a pretty good bar and club scene in Portland too. Portland State University is a very good school, which I may be transfering to myself. Portland is a very laid back place, and if you live in the city you wouldn't even need a car! Public transportation in great. I had an apartment in Portland that was in a house near the University and it was very nice, but there are tons of places to choose from, so you shouldn't have a problem! Hope that helps. Portland is better than Oklahoma. I would chose Portland State. I grew up in Portland and Portland State has a good engineering program. Now Oklahoma is alot different and a different part of the country. If you grew up in Portland then I would go to Portland State just cause you are use to the fast life style, cause down here in the south its a lot more slower paced and not as much ambition. I am saying this cause like I said I grew up in Portland and was there for 33 years till a year ago me and my husband moved to Texas and there life style down here is like I said slower and not as fast paced. Even in the big cities in the south they just are not as fast as the east or west coast. I live in Portland and its really nice here. Oklahoma is hot and its in the south. And like you said they have tornadoes and bad hot sticky summers. Portland is very accepting of foreigners too. Good luck!! Portland all the way. Why on earth would you choose Oklahoma over Oregon?
