What has gone wrong with the Algarve? I have lived in Albufeira for the past ten years and it seems that there

Travel Info
are more people about in any small town in England than here. the place is dying, why?

Travel Tips
HI!! I think the only problem with the Algarve is that it's becoming more of a resort than a place to actually live!! you see lots of investments in hotels, golf courses, etc..but not in jobs, hospitals, education, etc, to allow people to live there. what will happen? I think that you'll see the algarve as place where the po quadruples in the summer with lots of work and than drop the rest of the year!!

Other Travel Tips
I've never been there and I'm Portuguese.
During the summer as you should know is silly crowded, but keep in mind that Algarve i just a fisherman's place, not a huge city.

And People DO get bored of going on holiday to the same place.
The Algarve is definitely a fisherman's place and a tourist place. But, a lot of people are actually moving there.. to raise families.
