I want to buy a house in Portugal, any ideas of websites to look at? |

Other Travel Tips Hi there I have lived in Central Portugal for the past three years and started an information website for people looking to live, work and buy property in central Portugal. I'm not sure if I can post the link of the site here, but I'll try. If not email me. www.gekkoportugal.com I'm portuguese, so I totally understand that your sick of Algarve. I'm too. If you want a tipical house you have the Beiras, but also the beautiful Douro region (where the famouse Porto wine is produced). If you like the sea you should search in the Alentejo litoral, the weather is fine (not too much hot in the Summer like in the interior, but never too cold in the Winter like in the North), for example near Lagoa de Santo Andre, a quite calm area. A website with lots of houses is www.remax.pt We have just brought a house in Portugal (central) near Castelo Branco. We went throught Remax. There was also a sight called Sundreamhomes that we viewed a few houses from. We move out there in the summer and cant wait. Good Luck!!! We fell in love with the place.
