Anyone been to Albuferia - Portugal ?

Im off on holiday in 2 days and wondered if anyone had been to albuferia - portugal? If so, have you got any advice on where to go, or not to go, any handy hints or anything to be careful of when im out there?

I live there its great . a bit of bad weather coming over the next few days so wrap up at night. Do not book any trips until you go to the "Ticket Shop" there trips and excursions are half price of anyone Else's there are two of them one next to Oura Praia Hotel entrance and one in the old town opposite the English products shop. Try the Kohinoor Indian restaurant its located at the very top of the strip at the side of Erins isle its great food. don't take any scratch cards you will waste your whole day in a timeshare and only buy your cigarettes at a shop not the Gypsy's they are conning lots of English people to part with loads of cash for cig cartons but when you open them theres no cigs in them. enjoy your holiday.

it is wicked!!! best way to really get the place is to walk everywhere! thats what i did! i wish i was there!
Albufeira has a reputation of being a 'party' destination. It can therefore attract people of a certain disposition. If you want a quiet/relaxing holiday, it may not be the ideal place, though it is quite nice! When I went to Portugal, I stayed in Villamora which had a good mixture of people and attractions. The Algarve is a great place to visit. Have a nice time.
Albufeira is located in South Portugal. It has a nice beach with fishing small boats. During the day there are many stores to buy nice souvenirs and handicrafts. At night it has a lot of animation and it's party all night. If you are staying at a hotel, don't stay at the centre if you don't like noise.
You also have nice swimming pools near and also a sea zoo called zoo marine which is very nice.

Hi!! Great place!! Albufeira!, unfortunatly i don't think you'll be able to go to the beach! But, ther are lot's of things to do and not only beach and bars!
