its horrible. i do have kids but i would never have left them 200yds away from me whilst i had some food. am i such a bad parent now!!!!!!!

Whatever! It is not clear what you are asking, but I assume you are judging someone else on their parrenting skills. We all make mistakes, no matter how careful we are there will always be moments when our kids are at risk. It does not help to judge others by what a news report says about them. Just try to do your own best with the children that have been entrusted to you.
