Things to do in Lisbon, Portugal? |
Travel Info shopping, site seeing, .... Travel Tips There is a touristy area called Sintra about 1/2 and hour by train (I think it is at the very end of the green line) outside of the Lisbon city center. It is filled with charming coffee shops gift shops and so on. You may have to walk up the hill to get to the center of the town. Unfortunately in July it tends to be packed with tourists. Do a search about the area before you leave so that you can make a list of highlights. Rosio is the downtown Lisbon attraction (The opposite end of th green train line). Once again its full of overpriced coffee and pastry shops but it is worth while just for the experience. As for places to Shop, Lisbon is like most modern cities with Malls filled with Asian products. Enjoy Lisbon and take care on the roads, Many of the roads have speed limits that are far to high considering the length of the off ramps and other obstacles. Oh and if you buy a map don't expect it to be accurate. I had 3 maps and most street names didn't match between the maps and to what was posted on the actual streets. Enjoy your Trip.
