Who thinks that the Resort in Portugal is liable for Madeleine McCann's abduction? |
Travel Info This resort charges a lot of money to accomodate families with children. It spends no money for security. It should be fenced and gated with guards at the Gate. It should have Cameras everywhere and patrolling Watchmen/Guards. It can well afford to do all this. Travel Tips Oh come on, are you serious? Are you suggesting that we should all take our holidays at Fort Knox? No one wants to holiday in a prison, or feel as if Big Brother is watching! As for "security"... The Ocean Club is a three star standard accomodation and I don't know many three or four star hotels with guards and watchmen. I don't know any which are gated either! Also, I'm sure that the McCanns don't surround their own home in cctv's and guards so why would they want to do it on holiday? Pay for the most luxurious 5 star hotels and you might get this, but this was not that standard. People have a free choice. If they want to holiday in Alcatraz then they book Alcatraz- The McCanns did not. You also say that they paid a lot of money for their holiday- Really? Are you saying that for their 拢1500 2 week holiday they should get flight, accomodation for 5, 24 hr reception 2 large family pools 1 adult pool (heated) 1 indoor pool (heated) 5 tennis courts (2 floodlit) Restaurant & club bar, 3 poolside snack bars, Children's cr茅che, Direct dial telephones Satellite television, Maid service. Themed evenings and entertainment AND an armed guard??? I don't agree that 拢1500 for 5 people is a lot of money for all that! Its positively cheap! Whilst I feel sorry for the family that their daughter has been abducted, lets not forget that that THEY LEFT THEIR CHILDREN ALONE. If the McCanns did that in this country they would have been in big trouble. After all, it's illegal to leave children so young alone and unsupervised, but perhaps the Ocean Club are liable for the stupidity of the parents too? Do you think they would have gotten away with leaving 3 children under 4 in the house alone at home while they went out for dinner? NO WAY! Sorry, I don't think you've really thought your question through before you've posted it, so I will forgive you, but surely you have to see how ridiculous this is. People who have such little regard for their children take their own risks. This should not have happened. The Ocean Club provides perfectly good childcare and creche facilities, the McCanns chose not to use this facility- their own free choice was to leave their three children alone in a holiday apartment while they entertained themselves. I say that it wasn't the Ocean Club who was liable, it's the parents. No -one would wish this on anyone, but it's a fact of life that paedophiles, robbers and criminals are everywhere, and children are their parents responsibility I'm sorry but Gerry and Kate McCann have only themselves to blame. All we can do is hope to God they get her back and have learned a very very hard & painful lesson indeed. Others This resort has child care available. The parents CHOSE not to use it. They left their children ALONE. The parents CHOSE this resort and made their own decision to leave the children alone. Should law enforcement sue them for the cost of the search for their kidnapped child? Why should the resort be liable? they had nothing to do with her abduction.........maybe the parents should have made a different choice in both choosing a more secure resort, and also the choice of not leaving their children alone..........It's very sad what happened.........but the blame is not on the resort.........or the country............ |
