Travel Info When and till when is open legalisation of immigrant in portugal in 2007? Travel Tips Hi! People who come to live and work to Portugal must get a permission before they came here. You must ask for this in the Portuguese Embassy near you. It's not a question of "opening" and "closing" legalization. All foreigners can come if they obbey to the rules demanded by the Portuguese Law. Coming here hoping you will get a job and then legalize without taking legal action before it麓s not the proper thing to do because when you come here and your turist permission expires you are illegal and can be deported at all time although you found a job and a way of living. Legal action must take place before you come. Ask about all the stuff needed and fill the forms. They will give you a permission to come here. Most of the times they demand that you already have a place to stay/live and a job. You may apply for jobs in Portugal depending on your area of expertise and send your resume. Just check on some portuguese newspapers online or make a Google search "jobs in Portugal". You will find LOTS of stuff. If an enterprise is interested in you they will contact you in order to sign a promise of a job contract (by mail), and then you will have something to show (you already have someone who promised to contract you).
