We are thinking of going to albufeira in the algarve on the 8th of october.wiil the resort still be open? |
Travel Info we were told that the resort starts to shut down in october...is this correct? Travel Tips Hi! No resorts now are open all year just about. but in october the algarve and Portugal are still pretty hot, so they are definetly open! Other Travel Tips we went in october to vilamoura, and we found' that some resorts did close down, but it depends on how many tourists there are about, but at that time of the year we did notice that there was a lot of golfers. I stayed in a small village around 2 miles from albuferia near the end of October and some of the resorts did close, but there was still a lot open. The restaurants and bars are open as well, but they are a little quieter than in the summer. It depends which resort you're interested in- why not contact them directly? I wouldn't worry about it too much as there will still be a lot of things happening and people about. As one of the other answerers said there are a lot of golfers in the Algarve in autumn and spring as it is lovely and warm but not too hot. Has all kind of resorts and hotels for all kind of pockets. In October that's a nice time to come here because the prices are very cheap. From June to September, in the high season, especially in August, prices are very expensive. But do not fear! Hotels and resorts are open all the days in the year. You just have to endure some light rain maybe, but in October is still a nice weather to go to beach and out to dinner and sight seing and all. Have a pleasant journey! I live here! |
