Faro to armona island ??????

how long does does it take to get from the airport to the island????? and has anyone been , was it ok ???

Hi! Faro I know but Armona Island? It might be on of the small islands off the coast of Faro in the algarve and you can go by boat!

You have to take a bus first and then a boat to Armona Island.
About 20 minutes bus and then the boat.
It's nice there. In the summer they have boats several times a day, but I don't advise you to sleep there.
Just go there to the beach, lunch... and then go back to your hotel.
It's not confortable.
In order to get to Armona you will have to take the bus or the train to Olh茫o, but the train doesn't serve the airport. Olh茫o is about 14 kms away from Faro airport. From there you have frequente boats that leave from the harbour.
If you like islands without cars and you long for kilometers of deserted beaches you will be delighted. Sometimes the tide forms tiny temporary islands and it is fun to swim to them.
Armona has a camping park and lots of houses that can be rented, but normally for a minimum of one week.
Unfortunately, the weather has been poor in Portugal this month.
While there, don't forget to visit the next island, Culatra. Boats leave from Olh茫o as well, and it is worth seeing. You will be away from crowds and the beaches are quite good and in pristine condition.
