Has anyone been to the Algarve? |
Travel Info I am looking at going in September, with my boyfriend. I'm 22 and he's 35. I'm probably a bit more of a party animal, whilst he is a bit less so! We were told that Albufeira would be a good compromise. Has anyone been? What was it like? What time of year did you go? Thanks! Travel Tips Hi, I live in the Algarve and it is lovely but very very hot today! As well as the beaches there's lots to do in the Algarve- it's interesting to drive inland where you can see some traditional villages and historic towns like Silves, Monchique, Estoi or Boliqueme or to go to the market and shopping in Loule on Saturday morning. If you like doing active stuff you could go horse-riding or on a boat trip- there are dolphins along the Algarve coast, go snorkelling or learn to surf- check out http://www.portugal-sport-and-adventure.... for ideas of fun things to do. In September the weather should be lovely still sunny and warm enough for the beach but not roasting. Albufeira is really a party town so your boyf might not be so keen on it -I think that Lagos, a little further west, could be a good compromise there are still lots of bars, clubs and hotels but it is more typically Portuguese and prettier with and has some great traditional restaurants. The coast nearby is lovely. Have a great holiday! Others I have'nt but i'd love to! Wow he's a lot older then you huh? Oops I didn't mean that haha. Anyways, the Algarve is beautiful :) Nice, warm weather... I've been a few times, and in the summer it's nice, but it'll rain during the winter. im from madeira : ) es esta una mucha hermosa ciudad. natur y animalos son fuerzo intersantos. yo he visto en la television. It's a great place, sunshine, lovely beaches, great food! Just don't take the kids! Sorry if that sounds a bit tasteless, but it is apparently a paedophile haven! been and its great. good compromise. |
