Has anyone been to the Algarve recently? |
Travel Info I am going to the Algarve next week...know of any good things to do or good pubs to go to? Travel Tips Hi, whereabouts are you going in the Algarve? There are lots of good pubs around the place- just go on a pub crawl til you find one you like! I live in the Algarve and at the minute it is really hot here so don't forget your bikini, sun cream lotion (its cheaper in the UK) and a cool hat! Now's a good time to go on a boat trip maybe dolphin watching- theres info at http://www.portugal-sport-and-adventure.... or fishing or you could hire snorkelling equipment- the water's nice at this time of year. There is also a sand sculpture festival near Guia which looks quite cool - it has giant sculptures of the wonders of the world and is open til midnight every day check it out at http://www.fiesa2007.com On a saturday go to the market at Loul茅 and then go shoe-shopping they have great shoe shops in the town! Have a great holiday! Others No, but my husband and I are going in October and i was wondering the same thing. Enjoy!! :) Avoid that pizza restaurant in Praia De Luz went there a few years back don't think i'll bother again You have asked the right person as I live in Albufeira if thats where you are going restaurants i would recommend are the sizzling stone ,costa rica, the royal indian and a good pub to go to is my bar of course jinky's the weather is great at the mo things to do there are many but it just depends on your preference.Hope you have a ball good luck and safe flight. I haven't been there in years, but I'd tell you right now to take your bathing suit (I think you know that already) and sunscreen, remember that it does rain in the Algarve although at this time it shouldn't. There are scuba diving things going on there if you want, and it's a great beach area. As for the guy saying avoid the pizza restaurant in Praia da Luz... well... I think he means just be careful if you have kids. Not recently ... been there a few times tho. Since that Maddie MacCann thing .. i don't think i'll be going there no more. Especially Praia De Luz !!! Come home soon Maddie xXx |
