Travel Info What is the Algarve like in august and where are the best places to go while on holiday there??? Travel Tips The weather will be warm and sunny. Some places are (too) crowded. As to where to go, it depends. Albufeira is the place for the crowds, and the nightlife. At the beach it's not so nice. There are too many people, and its difficult to find a place on the beach. Moreover, it's hard to keep an overcrowded beach clean. Lagos and Portim茫o are nice. A bit less crowded, but still very lively. The beaches are smaller in that area, and the water is a bit colder (it's far into the Atlantic, away from the Mediterranean). Lagos is a really beautiful city, and the landscapes in the surroundings are amazing. Then, to the other side, nearer the Mediterranean, there's Tavira (or the villages around). Also a beautiful small city, where you can take the boat to the beach on an island. The water is warm, calm and clean. It's more quiet. Not the capital of nightlife, but still lots of fun. Otherwise, there's a really quiet small village in the mountain, a bit further away from the sea (some 20-30 km): Alte. It's very beautiful and good for taking walks in the mountains, just resting. Others Hi, it will be hot but because it's on the Mediterranean coast the sea breeze will cool the air. Try Albuferia, it's very nice |
