Albufeira is suitable for party and beer drinkers. If you want fun and tranquility in the same place, Lagos should be your choice. Try this one http://hotelesencosta.com/hotel/aparthot... Others "Quinta do Lago" is divided by 6 roudabouts and in each one you can find all types of complexes. It is a bit expensive but it's worth it. Ive been in one on the 6th roudabout that's called "S. Louren莽o", suitable for children, golf fields, a nice swimming pool and a beach 10 minutes walking. Go to Abufeira. It's only about an hour from Faro and it has a great beach, many restaurant catering for the english palette. You can also visit the Zoomarine, which is a type of zoo, with displays from birds of prey and shows with sealions and dolphins. Hope this helps.
