if you want beach in the summer go to algarve
for cultural turism try lisbon, oporto or coimbra
night life is best in algarve in the summer and always great in lisbon especially in "bairro alto" and in oporto "ribeira"...

for beutiful scenary choose a long visit to alentejo
and if you like snow serra da estrela offers snowfun at a low cost

Depends on where you want to go and what you want to see. Lisbon is a great city for modern big city convenience and classic architetcure. Also great soccer games
The Island of Madeira is one the world's best places to visit for New Years.
The Azores islands has great spots without being too 'touristy'
