Travel Info Thinking of going to the Algarve in August. We want somewhere not to rowdy but not to quiet. We are eary 50's Travel Tips August in Algarve is very busy evrywhere.I would suggest Eastern Algarve between Tavira and Montegordo Montegordo has at least 10 miles of beach, and is in easy reach of Spain either by ferry or over the new bridge over River guidiana. In august in M.G it is busy but plenty of restaraunts and bars. and very friendly people. I have been going there for 18 years but not July or August.. Have a good trip And if you are around the 50 mark ideal I am 71 Others I stayed just outside Albuferia (probably mis-spelt)..twas lovely there as it wasnt remote but had a few restaurants and within a 5 min or so taxi ride to the main town..anywhere on the outskirts will be lovely if you want to get away from the noise The jewel in the crown undoubtedly is Begal old fashoined fishing port without the here we go crowd as there is with other answers!!!! Lago is relaxing and exciting take a look at this link http://www.algarve-info.com/algarve/lago... The Montachoro Hotel in auberfiera is lovely. Not a lot of children mostly couples. Rooms, food staff are all lovely. It sits at the top of the strip so you never hear any noise. It has a courtesy bus for the beach and old town, Happy holidays. The Algarve! Great choice!! well August is complicated for peace and quiet in the Algarve, but you can always find a nice beach with few people, look just outside the city limts.
