Other Travel Tips
One of Portugal's most famous bands is Madredeus. I can't really describe their style...you'd have to check them out on Napster or something or see if they have a website. They used to be really big. They are excellent musicians and the lead singer's voice is beautiful. They're definitely on the classical/folk side.

You should listen to Mariza, she sings fado, portuguese traditional music. Madredeus is also very nice. A very good band is Dazkarieh (look their website), they mix traditional music and traditional instruments with powerful guitars. Hip hop band Da Weasel is very good.
