Has any one here been to Madeira on holiday? What would you recommend doing in July/August time? |
Travel Info We're going at this time. What would you recommend? Open to any suggestions... Travel Tips My Mother and Father in law use to go every year in early september time, they loved it there and always had a great time, they use to visit different places and bring me back lovely pottery and exotic flowers, but i cant remeber now where they visited, have a good time the people are very friendly there. Others We visited Madeira when we went on a cruise. its not the most lively of places but you have to try a traditional Maderian meal. its yummy and they like to involve customers in shows and dances and things, can be quite entertaining. Go for walks along the levadas, up in the hills. Visit the fish market. Eat espada fish with banana sauce. Go to the casino. Stay at home and have a Madeira cake im from madeira. im glad youre going :) you should visit the beaches of course! try to explore as well, as that is very fun. if youre going there, you should definitely get used to walking around and exploring. that will be the best part, when you go. if possible, you guys should go out into the waters, and maybe visit close countries? |
